Health Goals Impact Your Business Goals

One of the core principles of running a business is setting goals. You need to set goals not only in your financial and business life but set personal and health goals too. If you neglect your health it is next to impossible to perform your best in business. Entrepreneur Magazine has a good article about the importance of fitness for success in business.

Research supports the importance of a good nights sleep and a healthy body. I don’t know about you but when I cheat on my diet, splurge on sweets and put off my daily walks my focus and productivity declines. Fitbit impacts your business by helping you attain those fitness goals. Experts are in agreement about the importance of setting goals and having reminders in place to help you reach them. Wearable technology such as Fitbit are designed to help you with this. It’s like having an accountability coach on your arm.

Recently I was at a live marketing event and a number of the participants had some kind of wearable technology they were using. What they noticed was that it didn’t just motivate them to hit their fitness goals. Having success in the health area of their life inspired them to do better in their business life. That rush of excitement when you hit a goal carries over into a “I can do it” spirit. They were physically in better shape and energized to tackle their business challenges. Success breeds success. Makes sense to me.

I have been using an old pedometer to track my walking steps but think I need to make the switch to a Fitbit or other wearable tech. Looks like I have lots of options to choose from. This Fitbit Flex is a #1 seller on Amazon.
