Unplug from Technology
Unplug from Technology While doing some research for a book I am writing on productivity and time management I received an email that took me to a post called The Amish Hour. I really hadn’t heard this term before but it fits perfectly with exactly what I do most days a week before I retire for bed and how important it is to unplug from technology. We all are so wired into technology today that it can be difficult to break free and find that time where we no longer rely on modern means of communication.

Accountability for Your Actions
Take Accountability for Your Actions! Yesterday was the start of the 2nd half of the year and it is the perfect time to regroup, see where you are on your plans for this year, and adjust and keep moving forward. Having accountability for your actions propels you to greater success and may just be the magic ingredient to get more done. I signed up to participate in the July launch party of the Accountability Squad headed by Debbie O’Grady to accomplish a mini task on a specific timeline as a way to restart my focus. With a ton of company coming to celebrate the 4th of July and stay the…

Memorial Day Reflections
Memorial Day Reflections Today, I want to get personal. Last weekend was Memorial Day in America, a day where we honor those who have died in battle while serving in the military to protect our freedoms. They made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives so that we can be safe and continue in the pursuit of happiness in life and business. Here are some of my Memorial Day reflections as I contemplate this special day and how it impacts my life. Anytime I hear our national anthem I cry and my heart is filled with gratitude and love for my country. I am proud to be an American. I come…

Strategic Blueprint for Success
Strategic Blueprint for Success Recently I watched an interview with Peter Voogd, a millionaire entrepreneur, where he shares his story and strategic blueprint for success. With many failures and achievements under his belt this uniquely qualifies him to share his hard won wisdom. Here is a teaser of the interview and my own notes beneath it from the full interview in this post. Peter had plenty of struggles and epiphanies along the way. This led him to create this blueprint to help others cut their learning curve and discover how to go from ‘6 months to 6 Figures’. I always love hearing from others who are passionate about what they…

Reconciliation Day
April 2nd is Reconciliation Day, a tradition started by famous columnist Ann Landers. I still remember reading her column in the paper for all kinds of advice. The point of Reconciliation Day is to reach out to others and make some small step towards mending broken relationships with a family member, friend or business associate. I love this idea and chose my 1st action to write and send a note to an elderly member of my community who is kind but lonely and sometimes places great demands on my time. Boundaries are important but I wanted to let her know I care. From a business perspective I think for today…

Start Fresh January 2015
New Beginnings We are now well into the new year with the opportunity to start fresh in 2015. I love this time of year because it represents new beginnings, a time of reflection, and forming new dreams and goals. It’s also my birthday month so it personally represents growth for me, the passage of chronological time, and a time to celebrate. January also represents a fresh start for your business and it’s the perfect time to look at the past year and see how well you hit your goals and reflect on the changes you need to incorporate to make 2015 your best year ever. Everyone is talking about new…

Choose to Pursue Excellence
One of the biggest obstacles to success online is that instead of the pursuit of excellence people make the mistake of pursuing perfection. Have you ever been guilty of this? I certainly have. The problem is perfection can not be obtained and if that becomes your goal you will find yourself frustrated and procrastinating on getting things done and let your fear of not “being good enough” hold you back and interfere with your productivity. You will continually fall short in your eyes and that will lead to even more procrastination. It becomes a vicious cycle. When you choose to pursue excellence you put forth your best efforts understanding that…

Weekend Marketer Live
Last weekend I drove to Las Vegas for Connie Ragen Green’s first Weekend Marketer Live event. It was a privilege to take part in the training and learn from Connie and other fellow marketers. Connie is a former classroom teacher, real estate broker, and appraiser who decided to change her life and came online in 2006 and has built herself a very successful online business. She loves to share what she knows and help other aspiring entrepreneurs. Live events are not only an opportunity to connect with someone you have been following online in person, but provide you with the opportunity to meet others who understand your passion and are…
