Life is a Daring Adventure

Life Is a Daring Adventure

The title to my post is inspired by this quote by Helen Keller. “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” If there was ever a person with multiple challenges and yet lived a life of purpose and passion it is Helen Keller.

I have this quotation on a coaster I use every day. It really is a great reminder to view life as a daring adventure and embrace all the professional and personal challenges that get thrown your way. Whether it is my computer getting stuck for over two hours today, trying to update Windows 7, or the last 6 weeks of health issues my husband is dealing with, life sometimes feels like a roller coaster ride.

The key though is to have the right attitude and refuse to give up. I like this poem and it sits on a bookcase by my desk.Don't Quit

                                                    Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,

When you’re feeling low and the stress is high,

and you want to smile but you have to sigh,

When worries are getting you down a bit…..

By all means pray – and don’t you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out.

God’s hidden gift in the clouds of doubt.

You never can tell how close you are  –

It may be near when it seems so far.

So trust in the Lord when you’re hardest hit….

It’s when things go wrong that you must not quit!!

I think many of us deal with worry, fear, despair and self-doubt at times. We need to banish these thoughts, quit taking our lives for granted and realize how extraordinary and wonderful life is.

Life is full of ups and downs and it wouldn’t be an adventure without them. Every day is a new day to connect with others, make an impact and grow your business. Don’t let your sense of wonder and eagerness get crushed by your challenges.

Have courage and don’t be timid! If you need help on how to stay focused, get back control of your time and life, and unlock your true potential, you might enjoy reading Focal Point By Brian Tracy. It is my go to book this month and I am loving it.
